LLC “Multimodal complex Ust-Luga” participated in “InterAeroCom – Development
of Regional Airports and Local Airlines” international specialized exhibition at the territory of Lenexpo exhibition complex in St. Petersburg. The exhibition took place from June 2, 2011 to June
5, 2011. The company represented a construction project of Ust-Luga Cargo Airport. This airport is a part of Ust-Luga Multimodal Complex infrastructure project aimed at integrated development of the
portside area in close vicinity of Ust-Luga Sea Merchant Port.
During the exhibition there was “Development of Regional Airports and Local Airlines” conference where problems and perspectives of air transportation in Russia were discussed. In particular there was a discussion about possible foundation of an Arctic and Antarctic flight research centre on the
basis of new Ust-Luga Cargo Airport to achieve national and geopolitical interests of the Russian Federation.

LLC “Multimodal complex Ust-Luga” and Lenaeroproject designing institute represented a construction project of Ust-Luga Cargo Airport at the booth of Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation at Transport Logistic exhibition in Munich, Germany. The exhibition took place from May 10, 2011 to May 13, 2011.
International community was presented with a concept and a model of the first specialized cargo airport in Russia that would be able to accommodate all types of cargo aircraft. The construction project of Ust-Luga Cargo Airport is a part of largest Ust-Luga Multimodal Complex. The complex has been formed at the western border of Russia. It is a unique transport logistic hub uniting air, road, railway and sea modes of transport.
LLC “Multimodal complex Ust-Luga” and ISL (Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics, Germany) presented a development project of an industrial and logistics zone at the booth united under the aegis of Bremen port. This zone is located 700 m far from the border of Ust-Luga Port. The project envisages creation of an industrial business park, a dry port, warehouses and an industrial cluster.
The project of Ust-Luga Multimodal Complex received positive responses from the foreign and Russian companies working in the field of air, sea and land cargo transportation. Several foreign companies actively working in Russia expressed their interest in cooperation with our company to develop this project. General assessment of Ust-Luga Multimodal Complex project was positive from both participants and visitors of the exhibition.
Note: Transport Logistic (www.transportlogistic.de) is the world’s largest exhibition for transport and logistic that has taken place biennially since 1978. Transport Logistic 2011 was accompanied by Air Cargo Europe 2011 that was the world’s greatest business event for air cargo. The exhibition area was more than 100 thousand square meters. 1893 exhibitors from 134 countries took part in it. The number of visitors amounted to more than 51 thousand people.

On February 04, 2011 LLC “Multimodal complex Ust-Luga” and Strabag AG made an agreement on cooperation aimed at sustainable development of the project in a part of designing and construction of complex’s facilities. LLC “Multimodal complex Ust-Luga” is a developer of the project to create a multimodal transport logistic complex in Kingiseppsky district of Leningrad region in close vicinity of Ust-Luga Sea Merchant Port. The complex will be integrated into Euro-Asian transport system. Strabag AG is the largest Austrian construction concern.
